Leadership Summit in the Heavenly!
Illahee staff take a mid-day break for a beautiful walk!
Several Illahee counselors travelled to camp for a “Heavenly World” planning and training session. Heads of Hill, Libby Wallin, Callie Jewett, Laura Bennett, and CIT mom, Emily Mehta, along with other camp leaders and counselors extraordinaire Lindsey Guye, Abby Delahoyde, Meme Summerell, Katy Cowles and Catherine Babcock spent a recent weekend “brainstorming” for the upcoming summer. New plans for choice period and cabin adventure were discussed as well as fun twists to evening programs and camp activities. It was a beautiful weekend and we got outside for a little hike on Saturday afternoon. Everyone agreed that that the new activity Trips Hiking for 8th graders and up and regular sign up day hikes for all campers will be a big hit this summer. The theme for the weekend….and for the summer… “Spread the Spirit! Let your inner camper shine!” Now that’s something we can all do!
Large and small group discussions were very successful. It's going to be the BEST summe EVER!
