The Associate Director of Camp Illahee, Gretchen loves getting to know counselors during the summer. As camp’s staff director, Gretchen spends much of the year connecting with new and old Illahee girls. From the application, to the interview, to their arrival at camp and throughout the summer, Gretchen provides strong leadership as a mentor and encourager. Her own experience as a camp counselor along with a decade of teaching experience gives Gretchen a wonderful perspective to share. Known for her warmth and creative energy, Gretchen also adds a spark to Illahee’s bulletin boards, posters, ship’s store logos and publications. One of the many great things about working at Camp Illahee is getting to know Gretchen.
