Cabin staff serve as general activity instructors during their time at camp. Experience in a particular activity is favorable but not required…we can provide training for most activities. Don’t be surprised if we uncover some hidden talents!
General job Description
- teach 4 of 5 periods each day, in one or more activity areas
- share your skills, talents and enthusiasm for the activity
Specific Responsibilities include
- collaborating with other staff on a day-to-day activity plan for the session
- arriving to activity “OTOT” (on time and on target)
- daily monitoring of activity area, activity plans and equipment with safety as a priority
- teaching with goal of increasing the campers skill level in specific area
- challenging campers to create, to develop, to engage beyond their comfort zone
- leaving the activity area clean and tidy for the next group
